About us
Compassionate Co was set up and founded by Chloe Enright, a Public Health Practitioner and Breathwork Facilitator who has extensive experience in health research, health communications and surveillance. With a particular passion for mental health, Chloe began to research the area of self-compassion and based on her own experience, developed Your Self-Scribbler, the guided journaling experience for improving self-compassion. Your Self-Scribbler is based on the evidence based principles of positive psychology and has been reviewed and verified by clinical content experts.
Self-compassion is the process of turning kindness inward. It allows us to gain an increased sense of self-worth without having to compare ourselves to others. It has been proven to lead to increased happiness, increased life satisfaction and decreased stress levels on a long term basis. Becoming self-compassionate means focusing on self-awareness and self-acceptance as concepts through mindfulness, self-kindness and connectedness, the three pillars for self-compassion.
Becoming self-compassionate helps us to accept ourselves for who we are, to create a connection ourselves, allows us to control how we react to our emotions and is a fundamental building block for self-growth, self-improvement and enabling positive mental health throughout the lifetime.
